The second Anna25 Exhibition took place in a small flat at St.Quirin Platz in Munich. The event started at 9 a.m. and the visitors could admire works of Clemens Heinl, Thai Ho Pham, Anika Ising, Georg Kleber, Carsten Uhlig and Aaron Vidal.
Carsten Uhlig from Hamburg presented his silhouettes. In his grey pictures painted on white canvas, the artist depicts memories and moments of meditation. Allusions to human beings and certain events force the viewer to ponder upon the presented art.
Clemens Heinl shows his raw, wooden sculptures which were carved with a chainsaw. Despite of the rough technique his works are full of details, either amusing or serious.
Georg Klebers’ slates remind of the childhood. His works are simply small boards painted and inscribed with a chalk. The objects on the pictures are unclear and the viewer is automatically forced to find connections between them and the inscriptions.
The works of Anika Ising from Munich are excellent black and white graphics. Thanks to her exceptional working method the artist creates on paper a new dimension of picture’s understanding.
Thai Ho Pham presents two works from his series “Cycle of Banality”. The works refer to the banal decorativeness and over-aesthetic of art. Through the use of plan and coincidence the artist lifts the art on a new level. The emphasis on banality and ugliness aims at criticism of the overstimulation of senses in our world.
Additionally, the works of Aaron Vidal will be exhibited for the second time. The artist, whose main inspirations are women and cars, presents his three small canvas.
