The first Anna25 Exhibition took place in the flat of Anna Franek – the founder of the project. Anna has wanted to run an art gallery since she was in 9th class of German gymnasium and finally she decided to organize a small exhibition in her flat in Munich.
Paintings, sculptures and photographs of many various artists were presented during the first exhibition.
Terence Carr, the artist born in Kenya, presented his statues – small, colorfully painted, bronze castings. Carr creates in his works an outstanding combination of two different cultural worlds – his figures refer to symbols taken from the history of art and African traditions.
Tom Kristens depicts in his works dreamlike reality. The painter and lithographer creates fantastic landscapes in which significant figures are presented. The main subjects of his works are memories from author’s life combined with traditional symbols taken from the history of art. Still, every visitor can interpret the fantastic word of the artist in their own way.
The painter from Hamburg, Aaron Vidal concentrates in his works on two motifs: women and cars. Paintings are inspired by illustrations and press cuttings from the ’60 and show joyful world and real-life scenes.
Isabela Vermehren captures in her photos unusual, arising under cover of darkness moments of everyday’s life. The artist, who works without a flesh, depicts the atmosphere of those bizarre moments and strengthen the effect just with a few light effects.
